Born September 27, 1917, in Alex, OK, the daughter of John C. and Lillie (Smith) Wilkins. She married Joe E. Turner November 3, 1934, in Alex. He preceded her in death on August 12, 1983. Mrs. Turner was a homemaker. Survivors include her son, Johnnie Turner, of Duncan, J.C. and Dale Turner, both of Amber, Mark Turner of Dallas, TX; her daughters, Betty Hueser of Wichita, Elaine Kay Harmon of Wellington, KS., Carolyn Leedy of Derby, Wylma McGaughey of Wellington, Pat Friedlan of Chickasha, and Debby Willoughby of Lenexa, KS; 34 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by one son, Gary Turner, by two daughters, Maxine Duncan and Rhonda Turner, and by one grandson, Stanley Turner. Funeral services will be held 1:00 Monday, October 29, 2001, in the Trinity Baptist Church in Chickasha, with interment in the Laflin Creek Cemetery in Alex. A memorial has been established with the church. Smith Mortuary of Derby, KS has arrangements.
