NANCY TURNER SERVICES HELD SUNDAY Funeral services for Mrs. Nancy Turner were conducted at 2:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon in the chapel of the Brown Funeral Home Chickasha with Rev. C. W. Taylor officiating. Interment was in the Verden Cemetery. Music for the service was furnished by Mrs. J. N. Kern and Mrs. R. M. Caldwell who sang "Abide With Me," "Does Jesus Care," and "In the Garden." Mrs. I. H. Bilbrey played the piano accompaniment. Pallbearers wee Ott Dirickson, Orville Heavin, Jim Storms, Paul DeBoard, Raymon Heavin and Jeff Satterwhite. Mrs. Nancy Turner was born in Tennessee, November 17, 1866, and passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Alice Bradley, in Oklahoma City, April 6, 1945, at the age of 79 years. She was a member of the Baptist church. She had made her home in Grady County for 39 years. She had been in Oklahoma City since December of last year. She is survived by three sons, Buddy of Fresno, California, Frank of El Reno, and Morris of Chickasha; and five daughters, Mrs. Ida Williams, Miss Mary Turner, Mrs. Ruby Kell and Mrs. Alice Bradley of Oklahoma City, and Mrs. Rossie Hobbs, Oakland, California. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Return to Grady County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/grady/grady.html
