Freddie Melvin Underwood

Graveside service for Freddie Melvin Underwood, age 66, of Chickasha, will be 
held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 17, 2001, at the Fairlawn Cemetery.

Freddie was born the son of Fred L. Underwood and Nina Onstott Underwood on 
July 11, 1934, in Chickasha. He died on February 14, 2001, at his home in 
Chickasha.

Freddie grew up on the family farm north of Chickasha and graduated from 
Amber High School. He later married Marlene Davis and they lived on a farm 
outside of Chickasha. Freddie lived most of his life in Chickasha. Early in 
life, he worked for Nickols Brothers Parts and Machine. He also worked at 
Brandt's, and then Delta Faucet in the maintenance department.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Marlene Underwood, and 
daughter, Debra Underwood.

Survivors include his daughter, Tena Spearman of Bradley; sister, Bernice 
Kell of Chickasha; brother, Leroy Underwood of Oklahoma City; one grandchild 
and one great grandchild.

There will be no viewing for Mr. Underwood.

Services are under the direction of the McRay Funeral Home.
