The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. ==================================================================== The Chickasha Express-Star 25 November 2002 ELDON DUANE VanGUNDY Funeral service for Eldon Duane VanGundy, 55, of Ninnekah, Oklahoma, will be held at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, November 26, 2002, in the Chapel of Sevier Funeral Home. Eldon Duane VanGundy was born September 2, 1947, in Oklahoma, the son of Kenneth and Lovetta (Funck) VanGundy, and died November 23, 2002, northwest of Gracemont, Oklahoma. Eldon grew up 16 miles from El Reno. He graduated from Hinton High School. Eldon loved to work with horses and ride. He worked at the New Mexico Horse Ranch. Eldon also worked at the Canadian County Sheriff's office for 20 years, retiring in 2000. He moved to Ninnekah after his retirement and worked at Washita Construction Renovation of Chickasha. He and Caroleene Maria Cobble were married June 10, 2002, in Amarillo, Texas. Eldon attended church as a youth at Red Rock United Methodist. He was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church of El Reno. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include: wife: Caroleene Maria Cobble VanGundy of the home; 2 daughters: Kimberly Sue VanGundy of Hinton, Oklahoma, Christy Moberly and husband, Scott, of Calumet, Oklahoma; 2 stepdaughters: Shelley Crull, Sarah English; step-grandchildren: Jared Crull, Kasen Crull, Anthony Maldonado. Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home. --------------------------------------------------------------------
