Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 12, 2004, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in El Reno. Visitation was held at Huber-Reynolds Funeral Home in Minco. Jean Wosika was born Jan. 8, 1925, in Sandgate, Australia, and died on Friday, Jan. 9, 2004, in Oklahoma City, Okla. Burial was held in Geary Cemetery, Geary, Okla., under the direction of Huber-Reynolds Funeral Home. ========= Tuttle Times 14 January 2004 JEAN WOSIKA Wake services for Jean Wosika, 79 of Minco were held Sunday, January 11, 2004, 7 p.m. at the Huber-Benson Funeral Home Chapel in El Reno and funeral services were held Monday, January 12, 2004, 10 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in El Reno. Jean Wosika was born January 8, 1925 in Sandgate, Australia to Frederick and Mary Ruby (Dougherty) Wyer and died Friday, January 9, 2004 in Oklahoma City. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in El Reno and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary of Minco. She married William Henry "Bill" Wosika on March 17, 1945 in Sandgate, Australia and they came to Minco in 1951. Ms. Wosika worked as a teachers aide for the Minco Schools for 12 years until her retirement. She was preceded in death by her parents: Frederick and Mary Wyer; her husband, Bill Wosika on February 24, 2003; one brother: George Wyer; three sisters; Millie Johnson, Glady Nichols, and May Fisher. She is survived by one son: Bill Wosika of Minco; three daughters and two son-in-laws: Diane and Richard Birdsong of El Reno, Marie Armstrong of Minco, Pat and Ralph Edwards of Edmond; eleven grandchildren: Tony Billy and wife Susan, Tiffany Armstrong, Kimberly Warren and husband David, Kelli Birdsong, John Birdsong, Tasha Wosika, Chandra Wosika, Matthew Edwards, Michael Edwards, Kevin Edwards, and Katie Edwards; three great grandchildren: Paige Warren, Duncan Warren, and Bryce Billy.
