(Williams) Waycott Funeral service for Carrol L. (Williams) Waycott, 59, of Willis, TX, was held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 29, 2001 in the C allaway-Smith-Cobb with Bro. Joe Ligon officiating. Carrol was born July 19, 1942, in Wichita Falls, TX, to Bill Applin and Franklie Lee (Turnbow) Applin, and died Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2001, in Durham, NC. She married Carl Waycott March 25, 1995 in Willis, TX. She was a former business owner, Poorboys Bar and Grill in Marlow and Carrol's Cleaner's in Rush Springs for 9 years. Carrol also belonged to the American Legion Post 618, Willis, Texas. She was first married to Alvin McLemore in 1957. She was later married to Ernest Williams in 1966. He preceded her in death in 1986. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Janice Kay McLemore, in 1965, and her mother Frankie Lee Turnbow Thompson in 1981. She lived in Durham, N.C., for 2 months, and was formerly of Rush Springs, Oklahoma, and Willis, Texas. She attended school in Amarillo, TX. Survivors include: husband, Carl Waycott of Willis, TX.; 2 daughters: Carrolyn Thornton and friend, Jerry Smelley, Rush Springs, OK, and Melissa Gibbs and husband Lance, Marlow, OK; 3 sons: Hoyt McLemore and wife Janet, Marlow, OK, Gerry McLemore, Oklahoma City, OK, David Williams and wife Brenda, Newton, KS; stepdaughter: Jane Williams, Rush Springs, OK; stepson: Gaylon Williams, New Mexico; brother: Robert Thompson, Nevada; 2 sisters: Sharon Gunn, Willis, TX, and Charmone Callaway, El Paso, TX; stepfather: Robert Lee ?Bob? Thompson, Pampa, TX; 14 grandchildren. Pall Bearers were Glenn Phipps, Ernie Wayne Strong, Troy Trusty, Nick Lewis, Ocie Davis and Ernie Wayne Strong. Max Pyron sang.
