WEIGHT Funeral services for Marie G. Weight, 80, of Chickasha, Okla., will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 1, 2003, in the McRay Funeral Home Chapel. Marie G. Weight was born Sept. 24, 1922, and died on Friday. June 27, 2003. Services are under the direction of McRay Funeral Home. ========== The Chickasha Express-Star 30 June 2003 MARIE G. WEIGHT Funeral service for Marie G. Weight, age 80, of Chickasha, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 1, 2003, in the McRay Funeral Home Chapel. David Woods will officiate. Marie was born the daughter of Charlie and Emilia Moreno Garza Arrambide on September 24, 1922, in Bonami, Louisiana. She died June 27, 2003, in Chickasha. Marie grew up in Louisiana, where she graduated from high school. She married William G. Weight on July 15, 1946, in DeRidder, Louisiana. She and her husband lived many places in the United States and Europe as they followed his career in the U.S. Army. In 1960, they moved to Ft. Sill, Oklahoma. While in Lawton/Ft. Sill area, Marie worked in the retail clothing business. She retired in 1986, and moved to Chickasha the following year. She was preceded in death by her husband. Master Sergeant William G. Weight. U.S. Army (ret.) in 1984, her parents, one brother, Charles Arrambide, and one sister, Rebecca Burrow. Survivors include: son: Carlos Paul Weight of Chickasha; brother Ruben Arrambide of Lumberton, Texas; several nieces and nephews. Interment will be in the Sunset Memorial Gardens in Lawton, Oklahoma.
