Wood, Brandon Scott (Nix) Brandon Scott (Nix) Wood, 22 of Moore, OK died Sunday July 14, 2002 in a tragic car accident. Brandon was born on January 9, 1980 in Chickasha, OK and was the only child of Jay and Marlene Wood of Moore, OK. The outgoing 22 year old loved snowskiing, waterskiing, golf, baseball and especially OU football. Brandon was a Super Electronics Technician, E-4, 3rd Class Petty Officer in the United States Navy. He was stationed in Norfolk, Virginia and was serving aboard the USS Nicholson. Brandon proudly served his country for over two years. Brandon is survived by his parents, Jay and Marlene Wood of Moore, OK; Rick and Peggy Nix; two sisters Jeri Kay and Kristi Nix of Newcastle, OK. As well as Grandparents: Bob and Polly Tilley of Moore, Chuck and Wanda White of Tuttle, OK, Jim Wood of Madison, GA, Jerry and Charlene Nix of Minco, OK; great-grandmother Nellie Willis also of Minco; his aunts and uncles: Rob and Nina Tilley, Debbie Owens, Janet Cave, Jeri Kay Wallace, and Keith Nix; Cousins: Kyle Jarosz, Rachel Tilley, Roxanne Horton, April Hopper, Micah Nix, Tyler Nix, and Jessica Nix. The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to Brandon's newest family, The United States Navy. The Navy has helped to ease the burden and pain during such a difficult period. Also special thanks to aunt Linda and cousin Rachel Tilley who also lived in Virginia for allowing Brandon to have family while stationed away from home. We will all cherish our memories of the times we shared and he will be greatly missed by friends, family, and all who loved him. Services will be held at Emmaus Baptist Church, 16001 S. Western in Oklahoma City, Monday, July 22, 2002 at 10:00 am and graveside services at Moore Cemetery.
