::Verden Cemetery--Verden OK

The Verden News
August 23, 1935


Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 330 o'clock for K. G. 
Whitley who succumbed at the Chickasha hospital Monday at 400 a. m. 
after a weeks illness.

The pastor, Rev. F. L. Giles conducted the funeral service after which 
interment was made in the Verden cemetery.

Pall bearers were his boy chums John Ed Kern, Marion Miller, Dempsey 
Ransbarger, Kenneth Vinyard, Newton Morris and Victor Protzman. His 
class mates of girls, graduating from the 1935 class with K. G. acted as 
flower girls.

The choir, Mrs. J. N. Kern, Mrs. B. F. Loveless, B. M. and Floyd 
Ransbarger presented vocal quartets while Mrs. B. E. Heisler presided at 
the piano.

K. G. was the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Whitley and was reared 
to manhood here, except the four years the family resided in Colorado. 
He was 19 years of age and leaves to mourn his departure, his parents, 
three sisters, one brother and grandparents.
