J. J. WOODALL Services for Mrs. Annis L. Woodall, mother of Parker Woodall and early-day resident of Verden, were held at the First Methodist Church, Verden, Thursday, June 23, at 2:30 p.m. with the pastor of the church, Rev. Tom Graham, officiating. Interment was in Verden Cemetery with the Hansen Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Aubrey Finley, Mrs. Ed Adkisson, Mrs. Harry Dodson and Mrs. C. W. Hamill sang "In the Garden." "Where He Leads Me" and "Whispering Hope." Mrs. Donald Brown was pianist. Casket bearers were Aubrey Finley, M. B. Franklin, R. E. Flood, Richard, B. F. Loveless and Roscoe Hendrix of Chickasha. Annis Loretta Parker was born on July 10, 1871 at Youngsport, Texas and passed away at Chickasha, Okla., June 22, 1955 at the age of 83 years, 11 months and 12 days. She was united in marriage to John J. Woodall in Saledo, Texas, August 17, 1901. They moved to Verden in 1911, to Norman in 1920 and to Chickasha in 1955. She was a member of the Verden Methodist Church and was very active in church work when they lived here. She majored in piano and voice at Baylor University, Waco, Texas and was active in music circles until her later years. Survivors include her husband, John J. Woodall of Chickasha; two sons, Person E. Woodall of Verden; four grandchildren, three great grandchildren and one sister, Miss Neoma Parker of Austin, Texas.
