All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Alex Cemetery--Alex OK © The Chickasha Express-Star 31 Dec 2003 Audrey Alva (Pete) Weedn Funeral service for Audrey Alva (Pete) Weedn, 88, of Alex, Oklahoma, will be held at 1:30 p.m., Friday, January 2, 2004, in the Chapel of Sevier Funeral Home. Audrey Alva (Pete) Weedn was born in Hughes County, Oklahoma, on February 23, 1915, to Lester Albert and Florence (Lee) Weedn, and died December 30, 2003, in Chickasha. Mr. Weedn spent most of his childhood years in Pottawatomie County, Oklahoma. He married Ruby Kilby on September 2, 1939, at Alex, Oklahoma. To this union two daughters, LaRita Monett and Patsy Arlene, were born. He was a resident of Alex most of his adult life. Mr. Weedn was a heavy equipment operator, working for Sims Construction, Harris Construction Co., and then retired from TAW. He then worked for Grady County and retired again. He was a 41-year member of the Alex Masonic Lodge and was a Past Master of the lodge three times. Mr. Weedn was preceded in death by: Parents; his wife of 44 years, Ruby, in 1983; brothers: Cecil and Aubrey (Corb); sisters: Ruth and Flossie; infant twin brother and sister. Survivors include: Wife, Velma Weedn, of the home; 2 daughters and sons-in-law: James and LaRita McKiddy III of Lexington, Oklahoma, Pat and Chester Taff of Sapulpa, Oklahoma; grandchildren: James McKiddy IV, Audrey Hall, Julie McManus and Michael McKiddy; great grandson, Justin Lee Allen; 1 sister; 7 stepchildren.
