Reverend Andy Taylor, pastor of the Trinity Baptist Church, officiated. Oscar Harold Woodruff was born September 9, 1937, in Chickasha, Oklahoma. He was the son of Mose Crocker Woodruff and Pearl (Carmichael) Woodruff. He died Saturday, March 17, 2001 in Chickasha. He and Charlene Wilmeth were married March 11, 1956, in Gainesville, Texas. Mr. Woodruff was an oilfield worker. He was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church. Mr. Woodruff was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include: his wife: Charlene Woodruff of the home; 1 daughter: Vicki Sylve of Chickasha, Oklahoma; 1 grandson: Chris Sylve of Chickasha, Oklahoma; 4 brothers: Russell Woodruff and wife, Ornez, of Burleson, Texas, Ray Woodruff and wife, Winnie, of Maysville, Oklahoma, Kenneth Woodruff and wife, Mildred, of Chesterfield, Missouri, Boe Woodruff and wife, Billie, of Woodward, Oklahoma; 1 sister and her husband: Bernice and Kenneth Reynolds of Lindsay, Oklahoma; numerous nieces and nephews. Organist was Mrs. Imogene Rice. Singers were Rosetta Brooks and Barbara Harris. Pallbearers were: Active: Ray Davidson, Wayne Merchant, Bob Roth, Buster Trout, Garvin Watkins and Kenny Brown. Honorary: Doc Henderson, Hoss England and Luther Berry. Interment was in the Blanchard Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
