All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Westview Cemetery--Rush Springs OK The Chickasha Express-Star Sunday, 4 December 2005 DARRELL HENRY WILLIS Darrell Henry Willis, 61, Rush Springs, OK, passed away Sunday, December 4, 2005 at his home east of Rush Springs. Services will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, December 10, 2005, at the Vimy Ridge Baptist Church in Rush Springs, OK, with David Hale officiating. Burial will be in the Westview Cemetery, Rush Springs, Oklahoma under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Chapel in Rush Springs, Oklahoma. Darrell was born Monday, March 13, 1944 in Rush Springs, Oklahoma, to H.B. "Heck" and Esta (Adams) Willis. Darrell graduated from Rush Springs in 1962. He lived in and around Rush Springs all of his life. Darrell and Frieda (Thompson) Willis were married in Wichita Falls, TX and lived in the Rush Springs area for 26 years. He was a full time rancher, raising horses, cattle and border collies. Darrell retired after serving over 20 years in law enforcement. He served as Under Sheriff under Ron Taylor and Stan Florence. He had a love of antique cars. Darrell was a member of the American Legion, American Quarter Horse Assoc, American Paint Horse Assoc. and the National Cutting Horse Assoc. Darrell attended the Vimy Ridge Baptist Church in Rush Springs. Survivors include his wife Frieda Willis. Numerous Nieces, Nephews, Great Nieces & Great Nephews Host of Loved Ones & Friends Pallbearers: Billy Evans, Robert Van Fleet, Jerome Jones, Jeff McQuire, James Byrd, Charles Adams, Ron McKinney, Creek McAdams, Honorary: Billey Murray, Steve Jones, Aubry Pool, Rick DePriest, Leroy Long, Loyd Woods. Viewing will start Thursday, December 8, 2005 at 1:00 pm at the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Chapel in Rush Springs. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Vimy Ridge Building Fund at P.O.
