All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== The Anadarko Daily News 14 November 1983 CORA WILLIAMS VERDEN - Services for Mrs. Cora Esther Williams, 90-year-old Anadarko resident, were held at 10 a.m. today in the Verden First Baptist Church with the Rev. Roy Lind of Lexington officiating, assisted by the Rev. Burl Mackey. Mrs. Williams was born Oct. 26, 1893 in Cleveland County and died Friday at Bethany. She moved to Verden in 1908, where she married Charles Ellis Williams in 1913. The couple lived in Oklahoma City and Locust Grove. In 1959, they moved to Modesto, Calif., and moved to Anadarko in 1969. Her husband died in August 1969. She was a member of the Verden First Baptist Church and the XYZ Club in Anadarko. Mrs. Williams was also preceded in death by her parents, J. G. and Edith Brasier, and seven sisters. Survivors include four sisters, Mrs. Rilla Hill of Delaware, Mrs. Ruby Hartsfield of Anadarko, Mrs. Ruth Davidson of Nicoma Park and Mrs. Gwindola Williams of Oklahoma City; several nieces and nephews, and several great nieces and great nephews.
