Carmon Jewell Williams was born Nov. 6, 1911, and died on Thursday, April 8, 2004. ========== The Chickasha Express-Star 9 April 2004 CARMON JEWELL WILLIAMS Funeral service for Carmon Jewell Williams, age 92, of Chickasha, Oklahoma, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 10, 2004, in the Bible Baptist Church. Rev. Steve Murray will officiate. Carmon Jewell Williams was born the daughter of Addison Lee Autry and Fannie Lee Geuin Autry on November 6, 1911, Marlow, Oklahoma. She died on April 8, 2004, in Chickasha, Oklahoma. She married Felton Marbury Hall on May 19, 1931, in Marlow, Oklahoma. He died on July 13, 1946. Jewell later married Herbert Oliver Williams on December 26, 1947, in Lawton, Oklahoma. He also preceded her in death on January 25, 1979. Jewell was raised in the Denton community near Marlow until 1931, when she moved to Lawton. In 1979, she moved to Chickasha. Jewell owned and operated a grocery store until Felton's death in 1946, and then went into general sales. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Lawton while living there and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Chickasha. Jewell was a member of the Dorcas Sunday School and the Joy Choir. She was also a member of the Triple LLL and active in Stitch and Sew Crafts Club. Jewell was alsO preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, two sisters, and one son, Gaylen M. Hall on May 30, 1980. Survivors include her daughter and husband, Mary Ann and Marvin West of Terlton; son and wife, Jerry Glenn and Jan Hall of Oklahoma City; daughter and husband, Melba Joyce and Denver Talley of Chickasha; daughter-in-law, Hannelore Hall of Del City; 12 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; 11 great great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends. Interment will be at 4:00 p.m. in the Highland Cemetery, Lawton, Oklahoma.
