All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== ::Rose Hill Cemetery--Chickasha OK Chickasha Express-Star Monday, 14 November 2005 LESSIE “LES” IRENE [REAMES] WILLIAMS Funeral services for Lessie Irene Williams, 89, of Chickasha, will be held at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, November 16, 2005, in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel, with Johnny Wray officiating. Lessie Irene Williams was born January 1, 1916, in Canadian, Texas, the daughter of James and Attrice Reames. She died Sunday, November 13, 2005, in Chickasha. Les grew up in Canadian, Texas, where she attended school, graduating from Canadian High School. Les married Ray H. Williams in the early 1940s, in Canadian Texas. They were blessed with three children: Cynthia, Johnny, and Michael. Due to Ray’s career in the U.S. Army, they resided in Roswell, New Mexico and Hobbs, New Mexico. While residing in Hobbs, she was a foreman in material replacement of the U.S. aircrafts. After Ray’s military stint was over, they moved to Chickasha, where they became co-owners in the Ricker-Williams Lumber Company. Les was an avid Bridge player, and she enjoyed sewing, gardening, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by both parents; one son, Michael Williams; two sisters: Hazel Lemmons and Virgie Terry; and one brother, Leonard Reames. She is survived by daughter and son-in-law: Cynthia and D. J. Allen, of Chickasha; son, Johnny R. Williams; two granddaughters and their husbands: Michelle R. Holding, of Chickasha, and Elizabeth and Brian Botts, of Cement; three great grandchildren: J. D. and Brianna Botts, of Cement, and Samantha Morris, of Chickasha.
