[LYONS] WARD Funeral service for Peggy W. Ward, age 85 of Chickasha, Oklahoma, is pending with the McRay Funeral Home. Peggy W. Ward was born on June 3, 1920. She died on July 10, 2005, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. ========== The Chickasha Express-Star Tuesday, 12 July 2005 Wednesday, 13 July 2005 PEGGY W. WARD Funeral service for Peggy W. Ward, age 85, of Chickasha, Oklahoma, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 13, 2005, in the St. Luke's Episcopal Church. Peggy W. Ward was born the daughter of George and Venus Lyons, on June 3, 1920, in Kansas. She died on July 10, 2005, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, after a courageous fight with cancer. Peggy was a member of the Junior Social Workers and was honored with a lifetime membership award. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, all types of needlework, and family activities. She was a member of the St. Luke's Episcopal Church. Peggy was an avid church member who loved her church. She devoted many hours in service responsibilities. Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Gene Lyons, and her husband of 28 years, Jim Ward. Survivors include her daughter and husband, Rainee & Lee Wendling of Edmond; daughter and husband, Saundra & Orville Niblack of Arlington, Texas; brother, Buddy Lyons of Chickasha; grandsons and wife, Mike & Tracy Wendling of Oklahoma City; grandson and wife, Todd & Erin Wendling of Oklahoma City; granddaughter and husband, Tina & Steve Reddell of Arlington, Texas; great grandson, Kyle Reddell of College Station, Texas; great granddaughter and husband, Leslie & Josh Houston of Ft. Worth, Texas. Interment will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery in Seminole, Oklahoma. Service will be under the direction of the McRay Funeral Home.
