Donald Wayne Young

Donald Wayne Young was born September 22, 1935, in Chickasha, Oklahoma, to 
Emmit (Red) and Ruth Young. He lost his battle with cancer February 28, 2001, 
at his home in Crane, Missouri. Donald attended Northwest Elementary, 
Chickasha Junior High and graduated from Chickasha High School in 1953.

After serving a short time in the military, Donald moved to Oklahoma City, 
where he continued his education. He was administrator at a home for mentally 
handicapped children and a Special Education teacher at Douglas High School, 
then spent several years in partnership with his brother Lucky, in the 
ceramic tile business in Springfield, Missouri. Before his illness he was 
also a partner in Mussino Tile Distributors of Springfield.

Donald loved antiques, gardening, and simply being with family and friends.

Donald is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Robert of Chickasha and 
Lucky of Missouri; nephews Wayne of Chickasha and David Alan of Oklahoma City.
 
Long time companion of Lloyd Branham of Crane, MO., survives him, as well as 
brothers Nathan of Chickasha and David of Oklahoma City, and sister Inell 
Gander of Durant.

After cremation he will be buried near his parents and Lucky at Highlandville 
Missouri Cemetery. No services are scheduled.
