Corley and Clara Faye Clark were married August 8, 1935 in Wichita Falls, Texas. They have lived in the Amber and Tuttle area for most of their lives. They also lived and worked in New Mexico and Arizona for a short time. The couple moved back to Amber in 1943 and began farming. In 1945, they moved to a farm in the Tuttle area where they have lived for the last 60 years. They both attended Amber School and are members of the First Baptist Church of Tuttle. Alvin was a well known Duroc breeder having shown hogs in many state and National Duroc Shows. He was also President of the Oklahoma Duroc Breeders Association for a number of years. In 1948, Alvin began dairying. The dairy is still being operated today as Corley''s Jerseys by his sons and grandchildren. Three generations of the Corley family have shown Jerseys in Oklahoma, Texas, Colorado, New Mexico and the All-American Jersey Show in Louisville, KY. Faye has been a homemaker and involved in all areas of the farm. She has been a member of the Extension Homemakers for over 50 years. Her hobbies include sewing, knitting, crocheting, embroidery and many others. They have two sons, Eugene and Janice Corley and Ray Dean and Voncille Corley of Tuttle.
