All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== The Chickasha Express-Star Sunday, 15 January 2006 HOLLOWAYS TO CELEBRATE 60 YEARS OF MARRIAGE George and Violet [Baker] Holloway of Chickasha, Okla., are pleased to announce their 60th wedding anniversary. The couple were wed on January 14, 1946 in Baldwin City, Kan. The ceremony was performed by Dr. Nelson P. Horn, president of Baker University, Baldwin City, Kan. George was an educator who taught school for 30 years. Violet was a homemaker and a volunteer for Red Cross. The couple's faith is the Church of the Brethern. The Holloways were blessed with two sons, Dean and Rex. Dean and wife Mary, and Rex and fianceŽ Katie all live in McPherson, Kan. The couple have five grandchildren: grandson Brian and wife Jodie, Moundridge, Jan; granddaughter Vanessa and husband Beau Driggers, Inman, Kan.; grandson Jacy, Garden City, Kan.; granddaughter Tara and husband Nick Churchill, Garden City, Kan.; and granddaughter Deena and husband Casey Wilson, Emporia, Kan. They also have seven great grandchildren: Brianna - deceased, Brooke, Joel, Payton, Savannah, Seth and Logan. A reception luncheon will be held in honor of the anniversary. It is scheduled for January 14, 2006, at the couple's home.
