They were united in marriage March 9, 1946 in Duncan, Okla. They have two children, E. Charlene Ashcraft and husband of Weatherford, Okla.; and Melvin L. Harris and wife Debrah of North Bend, Wash. Virgil and Zella have five grandchildren, John Ashcraft and wife of Ruidoso, N. M.; Charla Hursh and husband of Weatherford, Okla.; Mechele Harris of North Bend, Wash.; Jaime Lynn of Snoqualmie, Wash.; and Rebecca and husband of Kent, Wash. They have four great grandchildren, Tora, Brittanie and Jordan of Ruidoso, N.M.; and Ethan Harris of Snoqualmie, Wash. Virgil and Zella love to fish, be with family and friends, and most of all attend church. They are members of Grand Assembly of God Church located at 102 West Almar in Chickasha, Okla. ========= The Chickasha Express-Star 14 March 2004 VIRGIL & ZELLA HARRIS HARRISES CELEBRATE 58TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY Virgil and Zella Harris observed their 58th anniversary Marth 9. Zella’s uncle and aunt, Loron and Ova Lou Wood, of Cement, Okla., took the couple out for dinner. They received calls and cards from their children in Weatherford, Okla., and Seattle, Wash., as well as from a niece in Norman, Okla., and their church family. Virgil and Zella loved spending time with their two children, five grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.
