All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== The Chickasha Express-Star January 2004 EALMER & WANADA KLIPPEL KLIPPEL’S CELEBRATING 50 YEARS OF MARRIAGE Ealmer and Wanada Klippel are celebrating 50 years of marriage this January, and everyone is invited to join them for a reception on Sunday, Jan. 11, 2004, from 2-4 p.m. at Southern Oaks Church of Christ. No gifts are necessary - just bring your memories. Ealmer graduated from Tuttle High School in Tuttle, Okla., in 1951. Wanada graduated in 1953. They were married on Jan. 12, 1954. The couple moved to Oklahoma City, Okla., for a year before Ealmer joined the U.S. Air Force. He served in the Air Force from 1956 to 1960. In July 1960, Ealmer joined the Oklahoma Highway Patrol and served for 22 years. During his time on the Patrol, he established the Oklahoma Trooper’s Association and was a bodyguard for Lt. Governor Spencer Bernard. He retired from the Patrol in 1982 and then served as a Grady County commissioner from 1983 to 1996. While Ealmer was on the Patrol, the Klippels lived in Altus, Holdenville, and Wilburton. They have been in Chickasha since 1967. Wanada began teaching in 1971. She taught for five years at Lincoln Elementary School and at West Elementary School. The Klippels have four children: Robby Klippel, Becky Lambert and husband, Noel, Sandy Leu and husband, Wayne, and the late Keith Klippel.
