To celebrate their upcoming milestone of 55 years, the couple plan to have dinner in Oklahoma City with family. The Rays have spent their married life in Texas, Colorado, and Oklahoma. For the past 25 years, they have lived in Chickasha, Okla. Their children include Vickie Sears and her husband, Ray, of Oklahoma City, Okla.; Teresa Greeley and her husband, Steve, of Chickasha; and Ronnie Ray of Oklahoma City. They also have 10 grandchildren and one great grandchild. As a young woman, Marcy worked and, in her spare time, acquired her private pilot's license. She enjoyed flying. Now, she assists with the homeschooling of her grandson, Austin, and loves to shop for antiques with her daughters. Oliver is a World War II veteran, having served in the Philippines and in Korea. After the family moved to Oklahoma, he enjoyed farming and ranching. Later, Oliver and Marcy owned and operated a full-service filling station in Rosedale, Okla. Oliver retired in 1987, after working for Sperry-New Holland. He enjoys fishing and woodworking. The couple both love to garden, travel, and visit with friends. They are life-long members of the First Presbyterian Church of Rosedale, where Marcy taught Sunday School and helped as a caretaker of the church. Both Oliver and Marcy have served as elders of the church. Since moving to Chickasha, they attend church services regularly at First Presbyterian Church in Chickasha and participate in its activities. All of the Rays" friends are invited to call and congratulate them on their special day. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Return to Grady County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/grady/grady.html
