All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== The Chickasha Express-Star 31 August 2003 WILLIE & VIRGINIA RICE RICES CELEBRATE 50TH ANNIVERSARY Fifty years ago, on Sept. 19, 1953, Willie Ben Rice and Virginia Pate met before God, and Reverend Strange at the First Assembly of God in Chickasha and pledged to spend the rest of their lives together. Today, they have seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren with another due in six weeks. Their children are Rev. Fred and Karen (Rice) Bailey of Sulphur, Okla., Kery and Nancy Rice of Oilton, Okla., and Kelli (Rice) Marcon of Duncan, Okla. Willie and Virginia currently live in Duncan and are members of the Ray of Hope Church. Virginia is retired from Walmart and has worked as a receptionist at various jobs in both Chickasha and Duncan. Willie is a truck driver in Chickasha and Duncan. The couple enjoys attending their grandchildren’s sporting events, traveling, crafts, reading, and being with family. They also enjoy gospel music. Willie and Virginia’s children would like to invite all of their friends, family and the public to celebrate their parents’ 50 years of marriage.
