ROCKS CELEBRATING 50TH
Vince and Elly Rock of Chickasha will celebrate 50 years of marriage on Friday, Aug. 24.
A local girl, Elnora Jean Barbee met Vince when he was visiting from college in Missouri.  
The couple exchanged vows on Aug. 24, 1957 and Vince's job as a Boy Scout executive moved them away from Chickasha soon after they were married.
They lived in Nebraska, Arizona and Texas until retirement brought them back to the homestead about 10 years ago.
The couple had two children, a daughter, Peggy, who died of breast cancer and a son, Greg, who will be visiting them the week of their anniversary.  They have five grandchildren.
