Jewel P. Dovel 

STRATFORD - Jewel P. Dovel, 96, died Wednesday, May 7, 2003.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today in First Christian Church with the Rev. 
John Wagoner, pastor of First United Methodist Church of Dumas, 
officiating. Burial will be in Stratford Cemetery by Morrison Funeral 
Directors.

Mrs. Dovel was born June 7, 1906, in Grant County, Okla. She was a 
Stratford resident since 1921. She married Bernard Earl Dovel on March 31, 
1923, in Stratford.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1964; and a son, Leon Eugene 
Dovel in 1932.

Survivors include several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.

The family suggests memorials be to a favorite charity.
