All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== :: Lillie Etta Gibson Lillie Etta Gibson, 94, of Amarillo, died Sunday, June 6, 1999. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in West Amarillo Christian Church with the Rev. Rick Mathis, pastor, officiating. Entombment will be in Llano Cemetery Mausoleum by N.S. Griggs & Sons Funeral Directors, 2615 Paramount Blvd. Mrs. Gibson was born in Belleville, Ill., and moved to Rio Grande Valley in 1927. Later, in 1934, she and her husband moved to Castro County where they farmed. In 1948, they moved to Amarillo. Mrs. Gibson was a homemaker, a longtime member of West Amarillo Christian Church, the Women's Bible Sunday School Class and an active member of the Bivins Hulen Circle. She had been a member of Order of Eastern Star since 1930. She married Clifford Ray Gibson in 1924 at Nash, Okla. He died in 1977. Survivors include a son, John Joe Gibson of Amarillo; a daughter, Delores Marie Floyd of Euless; a brother, Vernon Sells of California; a sister, Ruby Shoemaker of Illinois; five grandchildren; 14 great- grandchildren; and 12 great-greatgrandchildren. The family will be at 1110 S. Beverly. They suggest memorials be to West Amarillo Christian Church Building Fund or Crown of Texas Hospice.
