Kephart was born 10/22/1911 on the family farm 2 miles south of Wheeling, near Salem, AR. She was the only daughter of Robert L. and Ada M. (York) Cone and elder sister of Paul, Wayne, and Dorman Cone. At age 16, Ruby moved with her family to Warwick, OK where she finished the 8th grade. Ruby met Clarence Ray Kephart while helping his family bring in their cotton crop. Two years later they married on November 27th, 1931. The couple had two children, Novetta Jo and Clarence Edward. Ruby and Clarence raised their children while farming wheat in Deer Creek, OK. Ruby worked hard as a farmer's wife, all the while keeping her own beautiful vegetable and flower gardens and sewing most of their clothes. Ruby and Clarence retired from farming and moved to Carney, OK in 1972. Ruby was a strong woman--strong in body, character and faith. She was a faithful member of the Church of Christ. She had a kind and gentle spirit, full of wisdom, love and grace. Ruby was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, her husband Clarence and, her daughter Novetta Jo (Kephart) Wyalie. Ruby was united with her Savior Jesus Christ and her loved ones gone before her on Saturday, February 8th, 2003. Her body suffered long with Alzheimers but now her spirit is free. Ruby is survived by her son, Clarence Edward Kephart and his wife Recie; her grandchildren Vicky Wyalie, Robert Wyalie, Eddie Kephart, Annetta Wyalie Arnold, Linda Wyalie Bertrum, Carol Wyalie Murray, Becky Kephart, Tracie Hoover-Godfrey, and Jason Hoover. Ruby is also survived by 13 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter. We invite you to celebtate her life with us on Wednesday, February 12th at 2:00 p.m. at the Baggerley Funeral Home Chapel in Edmond, OK. Her body will be laid to rest at Memorial Park Cemetery in Edmond. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Tipton Children's Home or the Alzheimer's Foundation. Baggerley Funeral Home 930 S.
