All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Loren Dale Rosebery BORGER - Loren Dale "Rosy" Rosebery, 82, died Friday, July 23, 1999. Services will be at 9 a.m. today in Minton / Chatwell Funeral Directors Memorial Chapel with the Rev. John Curry officiating. Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. today in Memorial Park Cemetery at Enid, Okla. Mr. Rosebery was born in Medford, Okla., and had been a Borger resident for 40 years. He attended school in Medford and Oklahoma A&M University Junior College, Panhandle A&M and Northwestern State College, all in Oklahoma. He was a retired retail merchant. He also worked as a reporter, sportswriter, editor and printer and served as an ad manager of the Borger News Herald in the early 1940s. In the late 1950s, he taught photography at Frank Phillips Junior College. He was a manager of Russell Stationery of Borger until the early 1990s. He received his 50-year-pin as a 32nd Degree Mason. He also was a member of the Elks, Lions, Jaycees, I.O.O.F. and other clubs and organizations. He married Dorothy L. Riggs in 1941 at Kansas City, Mo. He was preceded in death by a son, Rex Rosebery in 1991. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Mike Rosebery of Austin, and Jim Rosebery of Boise City, Okla.; a sister, Ruth Adams of Marietta, Ga.; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to Salvation Army, Baptist St. Anthony's Hospice and Life Enrichment Center or a favorite charity.
