Sedbrook Ruzumna was born on May 1, 1909 to W.H. and Aileen Findley in Nash, Oklahoma and she went to Heaven at 1:15 AM on August 9, 2002. Lindsay was an accomplished pianist and singer. In 1942, she moved to Louisville, Kentucky, where she worked for Curtis Wright Corporation until the war ended. She supplemented her income as a soloist for the Westminister Presbyterian Church. Her sons Jack Sedbrook and Jimmy Sedbrook both were athletically inclined, Jimmy was outstanding in football and basketball and received a football scholarship to Kentucky University. Both sons served their country, Jack in the Navy and Jimmy in the Army. Lindsay made many friends during her years; she married Oscar 'Ozzie' Ruzumna and lived in Norfolk, Virginia. Lindsay lost her precious friend and soul mate Ozzie on December 26, 1972. She also lost her beloved son Jimmy Sedbrook, on February 23, 1972 to cancer at the age of 39 years. Several years later Lindsay moved to Downey, California to be near her son Jack Sedbrook. She was retired but continued to sing and play her piano. She was a gourmet cook and enjoyed entertaining. She then moved to Moore, Oklahoma in 1990 to be with her daughter-in-law Carmelita Sedbrook-Walton and her grandson Russ Sedbrook. Lindsay made new friends in Moore and enjoyed fair health until December 1999, the last three years were difficult for her and she required around the clock care, (at her home where she died), her grandson Russ Sedbrook was a constant care-giver. Lindsay was ready to join her 'Jesus' and prayed for Heavenly return daily. She was preceded in death by: her parents, 1st husband, Leonard Sedbrook, 2nd husband Oscar Ruzumna, brother, Wilbur Findley, 1 son Jimmy Sedbrook and 1 grandson, Bill Sedbrook. She is survived by: granddaughters, Rebecca Carte, Teri Ling, Beverly Sadler, 1 son Jack Sedbrook and wife Jeanie, grandson, Russ Sedbrook and daughter-in law, Carmelita Sedbook Walton and husband, Larry Walton. Lindsay will be missed by many. Memorial Services will be held Monday, August 12, 2002 at 2:00 P.M. at the Baggerley South Funeral Home, under the direction of Baggerley South.
