All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************ Phillip W. Andrews Phillip W. Andrews, 85, of Amarillo, died Friday, Feb. 12, 1999. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Paramount Baptist Church with Dr. Gil Lain and the Rev. F.M. Byford officiating. Burial will be at 4 p.m. in Sayre Doxey Cemetery, Sayre, Okla., by Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, 5400 Bell St. Mr. Andrews was born in Brinkman, Okla. and moved to Amarillo in 1963 from Sayre. He and his wife, Anna, were the owners of Fair Family Clothing Center for 16 years. He served in the Army, was a member of Paramount Baptist Church, and of Virgil Vallengee Sunday school class. He married Anna Mae Khourie in 1948. He was preceded in death by a son, Joey Andrews, in 1961. Survivors include his wife; two brothers, Joe Andrews of Perryton and Hannibal Andrews of Oklahoma City; three sisters, Lena McCormick of Oklahoma City, Alice Turner of Downey, Calif. and Edna Luper of Wenatchee, Wash.; and nieces and nephews. Viewing will be from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials be to Paramount Baptist Church, or to Baptist St. Anthony's Hospice and Life Enrichment Center.
