John Emery Andrus

KRESS - John Emery Andrus, 87, died Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2006, in Lubbock.

Services will be at 10 a.m. today in First United Methodist Church with the
Rev. Rob Blum, pastor, and the Rev. Clifford Trotter, retired Methodist
minister from Polk Street United Methodist Church in Amarillo, officiating.
Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Tulia by Kornerstone Funeral Directors
of Tulia.

Mr. Andrus was born March 6, 1918, in Willow, Okla. He married Linnie Vineyard
on Feb. 12, 1941, and he married Gwen Walker on March 6, 2000, in Amarillo.

Survivors include his wife, Gwen of Plainview; two sons, Charles Andrus of
Tulia and Marlin Andrus of Kress; a stepson, J.B. "Sonny" Walker of Kress; two
stepdaughters, Lynda Tye of Kress and Gayle Graham of Cullman, Ala.; a
brother, Charles Royce Andrus of Arlington; three grandchildren; seven great-
grandchildren; seven stepgrandchildren; and 13 stepgreat-grandchildren;

The family suggests memorials be to the Tulia Cemetery Association, P.O. Box
116, Tulia, TX 79088 or First United Methodist Church, 110 Ripley St., Kress,
TX 79052.
