   Inez E. Chew
   Inez E. Chew, 88, of Amarillo, died Monday, May 19, 1997.
   
   Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. Thursday in Memory Gardens
   Cemetery with the Rev. Charles Waugh of Westview Christian Church
   officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home Inc., 4100 S.
   Georgia St.
   
   Mrs. Chew was born in Granite, Okla., and had lived in Amarillo since
   1968. She graduated from Consolidated School Ozark in 1925. She
   attended Oklahoma University and Central State University at Edmond.
   After attended college, she taught at Ozark and Granite.
   
   She married George Chew in 1931 at Mangum, Okla. He died in 1996. She
   also was preceded in death by a daughter, LuOtta Warren in 1992.
   
   She was a homemaker and a member of Westview Christian Church.
   
   Survivors include a sister, Georgia Dodge Clayton of Amarillo; two
   grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
   
   The family will be at 5217 W. 36th Ave. They request memorials be to
   Westview Christian Church, 6810 Hillside, Amarillo, Texas 79109-7147.
