   Margaret Phyllis Denton
   PAMPA - Margaret Phyllis Denton, 91, died Saturday, Nov. 15, 1997.
   
   Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Carmichael-Whatley Colonial
   Chapel with the Rev. John Denton, pastor of First Southern Baptist
   Church of Fritch, officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
   
   Mrs. Denton was born in St. Austell Cornwall, England. She had lived
   in Pampa for 53 years. She married Joe M. Denton in 1926 at Granite,
   Okla. She worked for McLelland's Variety Store and taught sewing at
   Pampa Sheltered Workshop. She was a Methodist.
   
   Survivors include four daughters, Karen Parnell of Pampa, Shirley
   Nixon and Sandra Travis, both of Amarillo, and Betty Parsons of Tow; a
   son, Don R. Denton of Carmichael, Calif; 13 grandchildren; 23
   great-grandchildren; and four greatgreat grandchildren.
   
   The family requests memorials be to Crown of Texas Hospice in
   Amarillo.
