LaVern East
BORGER - LaVern East, 80, formerly of Borger, died Wednesday, April 26, 2000, 
in Sanford.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today in First Baptist Church at Sanford with the 
Rev. Terry Corbett, pastor of Borger Christian Center, officiating. Burial 
will be in Highland Park Cemetery by Minton / Chatwell Funeral Directors.

Mrs. East was born in Erick, Okla., and had lived in Borger since 1943. 
She was a homemaker and sold tropical fish. She was a Baptist. She was living 
in Sanford at the time of her death.

She married W.A. "Bill" East in 1940 at Brinkman, Okla. He died in 1974.

Survivors include a son, Billie East of Fritch; a daughter, Mary Leonard of 
Sanford; two sisters, Helen Roles of Sunray and Verna Lee of Harrah, Okla.; 
five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to BSA Hospice, Box 950, Amarillo, TX 79176.

The family will be at 201 Cromwell.
