All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************ Robert "Bob" Lee Glidewell Robert "Bob" Lee Glidewell, 80, of Amarillo died Thursday, April 21, 2005. Services will be at 3 p.m. Monday in Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, 6969 E. Interstate 40, with the Rev. Ron Witt officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Glidewell was born May 17, 1924, in Granite, Okla., to Benjamin and Anna Glidewell. He served his country in the Marine Corps during World War II in the Pacific. He married May Clark on Aug. 2, 1947, in Wheeler. He was a master plumber and was employed by Pantex as a pipefitter for more than 44 years. He was a member of the VFW and a charter member of Coulter Road Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by both parents; a son, Gary Lynn Glidewell on April 11, 2005; a brother, Leonard Williams; and a brother-in-law, R.F. Dearing. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Tommy Glidewell and wife, Judi, of Canyon and Ricky Glidewell of Amarillo; a daughter, Wanda Williams and husband, Jimmy, of Amarillo; two brothers, Benny Glidewell and wife, Alice, of Keller and Joe Glidewell of Mangum, Okla.; a sister, Judy Dearing of Colleyville; a sister-in-law, Mary Fae Williams of Fort Worth; 13 grandchildren, Cody Glidewell, Angie Smith and husband, Jason, Disney Martin and husband, Jody, Racquel Glidewell, Bobby Glidewell and wife, Angela, Billy Glidewell and wife, Audra, Barry Glidewell, Troy Williams, Jared Williams, John Williams, Chasity Downy and husband, Jeff, Canon Brown and Kendra Downing; 12 great-grandchildren, Autumn Smith, Alysse Martin, Peyton Martin, Patrick Martin, Bailey Glidewell, Kortland Glidewell, Kynleigh Clayburn, Taylor Downing, Austin Downing, Brittney Glidewell, Jordan Glidewell and Mariah Glidewell.
