Tom Goar

BORGER - Tom Goar, 75, died Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2006.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in First Baptist Church Chapel with Scott
Maze, pastor, and the Rev. Robert Hensley, pastor of Bunavista Baptist Church,
officiating. Burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Smith Bend-Coon Creek
Cemetery near Laguna Park by Brown Funeral Directors of Borger. Mr. Goar was
born Jan. 12, 1931, in Mangum, Okla., to Leonard and Gladys Goar. He married
Fern Howell in 1998 in Borger.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Vicki Kemp of Lake Whitney; a
stepdaughter, Carla Young of Los Lunas, N.M.; two stepsons, Larry Defries of
Borger and Jerry Defries of Sunray; two grandchildren; three
stepgrandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials
be to Lottie Moon Christmas Offering, First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 470,
Borger, TX 79008-0470.
