"Jack" Hendrix, 74, died Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2000, in Liberal, Kan. Services will be at 11 a.m. today in Hardesty United Methodist Church with the Rev. Don Calvert, pastor, officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Hartville Cemetery by Bunch-Roberts Funeral Home of Guymon. Mr. Hendrix was born in Willow. He graduated from Spearman High School at Spearman, Texas, in 1944. He married Rosa Lee Reed in 1947 at Waka, Texas. They moved from Hardesty to Sunray, Texas, in 1959. He was manager of the Perryton Equity Grain Elevator at Perryton, Texas, from 1959 until retirement in 1986. He had managed elevators in Waka, Perryton, Sunray and Morris, Texas. He served in the Navy during World War II and was a member of the Hardesty United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Cynthia DeArmond of Spearman; Shanna Medeiros of Liberal and Rene Avent of Stinnett, Texas; two sisters, Betty Welch of Wichita Falls, Texas and Lee Marie Watson of Fairfield, Va.; three brothers, Alfred Hendrix of Graham, Texas, Dan Dacus of Lees Summit, Mo., and Ted Dacus of San Antonio, Texas; six grandchildren; five greatgrandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Hartville Cemetery fund; or the Hardesty United Methodist Church. Memorials will be accepted by the funeral home. Amarillo Daily News, Dec. 21, 2000
