Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors Colonial Chapel with the Rev. Michael Kirby, pastor of First Christian Church of Canadian, officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mr. Hill was born June 27, 1918, in Willow, Okla., to W.C. and Zula Hill. He married Lucille Blevins on Aug. 5, 1944, in Paris. He was a longtime resident of Canadian, moving to Pampa in 2003. He was a veteran of the Army, serving in Germany in the 1289th Combat Engineering Battalion. He retired as a master sergeant E-8 after 27 years of service. He was a member, past deacon and elder of First Christian Church of Canadian. He retired from Northern Natural Gas as a well operator after 30 years of service. He was preceded in death by his wife on Oct. 17, 2003; his parents; and a brother, Richard Hill. Survivors include a son, Wayne Hill and wife, Dixie, of Alexandria, Va.; a daughter, Sandra Hill of Canadian; a sister, Norma Combs of Pampa; a brother, R.E. Hill and wife, Mollie, of Lamesa; a sister-in-law, Armenia Hill of Roseburg, Ore.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
