All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************ Haskell Holdaway Haskell "Hack" Holdaway, 75, of Amarillo, died Friday, Aug. 11, 2000. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors, Memorial Chapel, 315 E. Fifth Ave., with the Rev. Ron Mueller of Palo Duro Baptist Church in Wildorado, and the Rev. Richard Dickerson of Temple Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Holdaway was born in Brinkman, Okla., and had lived in Amarillo since 1948. He was the owner and operator of Air Speed Gas Station and a member of Sanborn Baptist Church. During World War II, he served with the Army in the South Pacific as a Quarter Master. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Roger "David" Holdaway of Long Beach, Calif., and Mike Holdaway of Amarillo; a daughter, Debi Moore of Amarillo; a sister, Charlotte Roberts of Amarillo; three grandchildren; and a greatgrandchild. The family will be at 7015 Tradewind and suggests memorials be to American Heart Association; or the American Cancer Society. Amarillo Daily News Aug. 14, 2000
