   James G. Layman
   
   HEREFORD - James G. Layman, 78, died Tuesday, March 4, 2003.
   
   Graveside  services will be at 1 p.m. today in West Park Cemetery with
   Wayne  Kniffen,  pastor,  officiating. Arrangements are by Rix Funeral
   Directors.
   
   Mr.  Layman  was a veteran of World War II. He married Bernice Bartels
   on March 16, 1959.
   
   Survivors  include  his wife; two sons, Rick Layman of Fresno, Calif.,
   and  Gordon  Layman of Granite, Okla.; a daughter, Denise Carpenter of
   Blair,  Okla.;  two  sisters,  Meta  Wederbrook and Bea Cargo, both of
   Hereford; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
