Lila Kate Monroe

HEDLEY - Lila Kate Monroe, 19-month-old daughter of Troy and Katherine Monroe,
died Friday, Dec. 1, 2006, in Amarillo.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today in First United Methodist Church in Clarendon
with the Rev. Tom Garmon, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Rowe Cemetery
in Hedley by Robertson Funeral Directors of Clarendon.

Lila Kate was born April 11, 2005, in Childress to Troy and Katherine Hoobler
Monroe. She had been a resident of Hedley since birth. She was a member of
First United Methodist Church in Clarendon.

Survivors include her parents; her grandparents, Tom and Lila Hoobler of
Childress and Edgar W. and Sandra Monroe of Hedley; her great-grandmother,
Flossie Holman of Childress; two sisters, Devon Monroe of Mangum, Okla., and
Kylie Monroe of Hedley; four brothers, Paul Monroe, William Monroe, Caylor
Monroe and Collin Monroe, all of Hedley; and several aunts, uncles and
cousins.

The family suggests memorials be to Lila Kate's Fund for Children's
Ministries, in care of First United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 157, Clarendon,
TX 79226-0157 or the Donley County State Bank, Clarendon.
