Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Sunray Baptist Church with the Rev. Philip Hilton, pastor, and the Rev. Mike Martin, pastor of First Baptist Church of Morse, officiating. Burial will be in Lane Memorial Cemetery by Morrison Funeral Directors. Mr. Morgan was born Nov. 14, 1923, in Willow, Okla., to Clyde and Myrtle Morgan. He retired in 1985 from Phillips Petroleum Co. after 33 years. He met Wanda Barnard in Olton and they were married on Aug. 15, 1942, in Sayre, Okla. They came to Sunray on Aug. 16, 1942, where they have made their home for 61 years. He moved his church membership to Sunray Baptist Church in October 1942 from Springcreek Baptist Church in Willow, Okla. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; a sister; and two grandchildren, Zackary Cox and Heather Cox. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Brenda Cox and husband, Wayne, of Guymon, Okla., and Gay Adkins and husband, Robert, of Garden Ridge; a son, Randy Morgan and wife, Mary, of Dumas; and two granddaughters, Carissa Joy Seal and husband, Shane, of Oklahoma City and Cara Marie Patton and husband, Richard, of Houston. The family suggests memorials be to Memorial Nursing and Rehab Activity Fund, 224 E. Second St., Dumas, TX 79029; or Sunray Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 550, Sunray, TX 79086.
