LeRoy Nance

CLOVIS, N.M. - LeRoy Nance, 89, died Friday, Aug. 18, 2006.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in St. John Baptist Church with the Rev. J.
L. Callahan officiating. Burial will be in Mission Garden of Memories by
Steed-Todd Funeral Home.

Mr. Nance was born Sept. 17, 1916, in Mangum, Okla., to William and Helen
Field Nance. In 1938, he moved to Clovis and married Robbie L. Jones on April
1.

Survivors include six daughters, Bessie "Faye" Gooden of Compton, Calif.,
Bertha Nance of Albuquerque and Mary E. Nance, Sommung Nance, Marriann
Ragsdale and Brenda Depperman, all of Clovis; two sons, William "Winky" and
Preston Nance, both of Clovis; a brother, Jimmy L. Nance of Denver; two
sisters, Faustine Jackson of Sacramento, Calif., and Beulah Sumerall of
Denver; 32 grandchildren; 78 great-grandchildren; and 43 great-great-
grandchildren.
