  Mary Maxine Peek
   Mary Maxine Peek, 78, of Amarillo, died Sunday, July 20, 1997.
   
   Services will be at 2 p.m Tuesday in Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel
   of Memories, 6969 E. Interstate 40, with the Rev. Jim Shelburne of
   Washington Avenue Christian Church, officiating. Burial will be at
   Memorial Park Cemetery in the Garden of the Shepherd.
   
   Mrs. Peek was born in Granite, Okla. She came to Amarillo in 1946 from
   Granite. She graduated from Amarillo College with an R.N. degree in
   1968. She was a registered nurse and a member of San Jacinto Assembly
   of God.
   
   She married Roy J. Peek in 1950 in Clovis, N.M. He died in 1993.
   
   She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Shirley Yvonne Peek, in
   1971.
   
   Survivors include four sons, Kenneth Peek of Canyon, Thomas Edward
   Polk of Pearl, Miss., Roy DeWayne Peek and Perry Lynn Peek, both of
   Amarillo; a daughter, Markeeta Lewis of Amarillo; 14 grandchildren;
   and nine great-grandchildren.
   
   The family requests memorials be to Baptist St. Anthony's Hospice and
   Life Enrichment Center, P.O. Box 950, Amarillo, Texas 79176-001.
