Ruby McCracken Penley

Ruby McCracken Penley, 94, of Amarillo died Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2006, in
Mangum, Okla.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Citizens Cemetery in
Clarendon with Bob Thomas, chaplain of Odyssey Health Care, officiating.
Arrangements are by N.S. Griggs & Sons Funeral Directors, 2615 Paramount Blvd.

Mrs. Penley was born April 22, 1912, in Reed, Okla., to James S. and Julia
Knight. She attended schools in Sulphur and Vinson, Okla. Ruby married Charlie
McCracken, they lived in Amarillo and he preceded her in death. She then
married Loyd Penley, and he also preceded her in death. She was involved in
Journey Street Baptist Church and Sulphur Baptist Church. She was a very
special aunt to her nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; six brothers; and a sister.

Survivors include a sister, Opal Peeler of Reed; and many special nieces and
nephews.
