Delmar Roden

DUMAS - Delmar Roden, 72, died Monday, Dec. 27, 2004.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Bible Baptist Church with the Rev.
Junior Nippert, retired Baptist minister from Mangum, Okla., and the Rev. Rick
Korsmo, pastor of the church, officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. in Jester
Cemetery in Jester, Okla. Arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors.

Mr. Roden was born May 22, 1932, in Soper, Okla. He was a Dumas resident since
1967. He married Laura Gibbs on Dec. 29, 1951, in Mangum, Okla. He was a
member of Bible Baptist Church in Dumas for the past 12 years. He worked at
Woody's Furniture from 1967 to 1997. He was owner/operator of Roden's
Furniture from 1977 to 1995. He served in the Army from 1953 to 1955.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Kim Roberts and husband, Gary, of
Dumas and Vanessa Pemberton and husband, Randy, of Amarillo; a sister, Gladys
Haygood and husband, Sonny, of Willow, Okla.; four grandchildren, Skyler,
Cory, Christie and Shayla; and two great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to Memorial Hospice, 224 E. Second Ave.,
Dumas, TX 79029; or Bible Baptist Church Building Fund, 10 Elm St., Dumas, TX
79029.

The family will be at 518 Belmont in Dumas.
