   Emily Leota Ross
   
   GRAND  JUNCTION,  Colo.  -  Emily Leota Ross, 85, died Sunday, June 1,
   2003.
   
   Graveside  services  will  be  at  2  p.m.  Thursday in Memory Gardens
   Cemetery  in  Amarillo,  Texas,  with the Rev. Todd Dyess officiating.
   Arrangements  are  by  N.S.  Griggs  and  Sons  Funeral  Directors  of
   Amarillo, 2615 Paramount Blvd.
   
   Mrs.  Ross  was  born  in Paducah, Texas, on Oct. 8, 1917. She married
   Frank  Ross  on  March 20, 1935, in Willow, Okla. Emily and Frank were
   longtime  residents  of  Stratford.  "Em,"  as  she was affectionately
   known,  always  greeted  everyone  with  a  smile  and  a warm word of
   welcome.  She  was  a  caring  individual  who took great pride in the
   ability to make new friends and she treasured the friendships that she
   established. She was a member of First Christian Church of Stratford.
   
   Survivors  include her husband; a son, Richard Ross of Grand Junction;
   and a brother, Otis "Smokey" Elder of Pacific Grove, Calif.
