Alberta Lee Smith

GRANITE, Okla. - Alberta Lee Smith, 89, died Monday, Jan. 15, 2007, in Mangum.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Granite United Methodist Church with Jim
Hilton officiating. Burial will be in Rock Cemetery by People's Co-operative
Funeral Home of Lone Wolf.

Alberta Lee Smith was born Nov. 20, 1917, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Florence
Estelle Horner Morris and Stephen L. Morris and passed away Monday, Jan. 15,
2007, at Mangum City Hospital in Mangum, Okla., at the age of 89 years, one
month and 26 days.

She was married to George F. Smith on Dec. 18, 1938, in Fort Worth. They had
lived in Fort Worth, Granite, Tulia, Texas, and Two Buttes, Colo., before
retiring in Granite. She was a homemaker for her family as well as helping her
husband in his work and was a member of Granite United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George Smith; a brother, John
Morris; and her parents, Steve and Florence Morris.

Survivors include two daughters, Vickie Nickell of Granite and Kathy Barton of
Tulia; a son, Steve Smith of Lamar, Colo.; eight grandchildren; nine great-
grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Charlotte
Carmichael and Ann Morris, both of Forth Worth.
