Chester V. Wootton
   CANADIAN - Chester V. Wootton, 89, died Thursday, June 12, 1997.
   
   Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Central Baptist Church with
   the Rev. Rick Timmons, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Edith
   Ford Memorial Cemetery by Stickley-Hill Funeral Directors.
   
   Mr. Wootton was born in Ingram. He married Clara Bell Rogers in 1931
   at Willow, Okla. They moved to Canadian in 1931 from Willow.
   
   He was a farmer, rancher and member of Central Baptist Church.
   
   Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Ima Jean Curnutt of
   Leadville, Colo., and Joyce Howard of Glazier; three sons, Tommy
   Wootton of Amarillo, Roger Wootton of Ranger and Dwayne Wootton of
   Canyon; 17 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and a
   great-greatgranddaughter.
   
   The family requests memorials be to Central Baptist Church or a
   favorite charity.
   
   The body will be available for viewing at the funeral home from 8:30
   a.m. until 8 p.m. today and from 8:30 a.m. until 10 a.m. Saturday.
